Mike was a true professional in many ways. He worked in our Department of Natural Resources and took deep interest in its many projects. He helped with early work in peregrine falcon recovery; he also accomplished things to benefit nature and the environment about which few people are aware.
I was privileged to know Mike many years ago, but lost contact in recent years.
He always had a smile, and a confident approach to life, even a tricky landing which might have rattled many pilots!...

I regret that I was out of town and could not convey my sincere sympathy to all the family personally. I was delighted when Mike came to our class reunion and know that he enjoyed it. We had great times including working on school events. My mother liked your mother and they had great stories. Always I will remember Mike with sincere fondness. Although he graduated elsewhere, we wanted him with us, too. I am preparing our class newsletter now and will include this sad news. If you wish a...

Mike you will be missed. I will always remember your surprise visit to my parent's farm in a helicopter and will hold some of our last conversations about flying, the stock market, and family dearly.

It was a great honor and pleasure to have worked and flown with you, Mike! I learned a great deal from you. You will be sorely missed!
