Greetings! My parents knew Terry & Virginia when my dad became a temporary Pastor at a north Portland church. Terry & Virginia came to our home for fine lunches. When I became a Multnomah County Deputy Sheriff in 1970 I got to know Mike very well as he handled most of my cases. Later (based on my decision in 6th grade) I became an Oregon lawyer in 1976. I always honored Mike due to his values, skills & leadership. I was a temporary employee in the MC DA Office & a MC DC pro-tem Judge. ...

Mike was an awesome person with a hard job. He did my family right.

Shirley, I had no idea that Mike had passed away. This comes as a shock to me. I wish you and I had stayed in touch. I know that you must love being a grandmother! You know that I do. Mike and I were co-students at Portsmouth Elementary and good friends. We competed against each other in several sports. He was in my home room my freshman year at Roosevelt High School! He was the son of Portland's Mayor and by no means did that go to his head. He was the best of the best and a Marine as I!

My Dad Michael Edwardson was a childhood friend went to Roosevelt highschool and kept in touch with him until my Dad passed away. He spoke very highly about him

Having taught Matthew at Parkrose High I had the rare pleasure of chatting with Mike at parent conferences. What down to earth, friendly, and kind man he was! May his memory be eternal!

Dear Schrunk family. As almost a contemporary of Mike's, I appreciated his presence in Portland's legal community and supporting law enforcement in Portland. I agedly appreciate his service to our greater community and his leadership in the District Attorney's office. God Bless you and your family.
