Not sure what to say?

I was greatly saddened to learn of Cowboy Mike's passing. I was highly impressed with his historical knowledge and value the wooden nickel he gave to me. It's still in my pocket right now. He did know how to wear a great hat, didn't he?

I was saddened to hear about Mr. Searles passing. We met at AU dental clinic and absolutely looked forward to his visits. I would put the wooden nickel he gave me on my counter just to make sure he would see it. I will take my nickel home now. Rest in peace Cowboy Mike and I'm glad we crossed paths. And he had a laugh like no other.

When I heard Mike had transitioned to Heaven my heart sank. He stood above most people I knew in my life while raising my daughter's, he always had kind words to say, his laughter was contagious and we felt loved! When Amber and Serenity heard about Uncle Mike, one of the first comments was about the waffles he made them when they were little girls and how he laughed! He was so cool! He will always have a special place in our hearts . XOXO

So many memories and not one of them sad. From Galesburg to Atlanta, Michael shared stories and made memories. I don't think he ever met a stranger who didn't become a friend. His laugh was loud and infectious. He was a very special man and he meant a great deal to all of us cousins. He will definitely be missed but he will also be remembered. Thank you for making Cowboy Mike a living, breathing person who is an amazing part of American history. RIP for a job very well done.
