Rev. Michael "Mike" Shane

Michael and I and two other poets were part of a poetry group at Washtenaw Community College, Ann Arbor, in the last 1970's. We wrote and performed, and had a lot of fun doing what we loved. I found a picture the other day of the four of us, and that's what led me to Michael's page here. Big Mike, I will miss you, you always had a story to tell when I saw you. You also said we were family, you and Jeanette always treated me as such.

Rev. Michael Shane was an extraordinary giving man. There are many in the faith, political and civil rights communities who will mourn his passing as his was a life of service, love, compassion. May he rest in peace and may God bless his family.
