Michael SHAW Obituary

SHAW, Michael Edward

Michael Edward Shaw, age 27, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013. His death was unexpected and heartbreaking for his family and friends. Even though Michael suffered with Marfan's Syndrome, he maintained a happy and fun-loving spirit - one that will always be remembered by those that love him. Michael leaves a legacy of a life well lived. He graduated form Cedar Park High School in 2004. He is a seventh generation Texan-and proud to be one. There is no doubt that he was an avid Longhorn fan - Hook'em Michael! He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, #104. In the last few years, he joined a Science Fiction Book Club that he really enjoyed. His favorite activities included spending time with his wife, his beautiful children, his family, and close friends-all of which take peace in the fact that Michael is now in Heaven, pain-free, with his savior Jesus Christ. Michael was born on October 12, 1985. He most recently resided in Pflugerville, but spent his teenage years living in Cedar Park. He is survived by his wife, Mandy Nichole Shaw, and their twin babies Madison Grace and Michael Kaden. Other surviving family members include his parents Mike & Lisa Shaw, brother Philip, and cousin Ashley, parent-in-laws Amy & Keith McMullen, brother-in-laws Chilton & Blaine McMullen, and father-in-law Homer Burson. Additionally, Michael was blessed with a loving extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The public viewing will be held at the Beck Funeral Home (15709 RR 620 North, Austin) on October 3 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. Friends and family are all invited to join the Celebration of Michael's Life, at Hill Country Bible Church Austin-Lakeline Campus (12124 RR 620 North, Austin) on Friday, October 4 at 11:30a.m., with a reception following. The graveside service for family and close friends will be Friday morning at 10:00a.m., at the Cook-Walden Cemetery in Pflugerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for the family can be made via a drop box at the Celebration of Life Service or online at www.hcbc.com (please indicate for the Michael Shaw memorial fund in the message section).

I won't grieve for Michael but I will look forward to seeing him heaven. Until then I will remember him and his buddies at my nephew Kyle Caffey's house especially when they were on the trampoline. May God's peace and grace comfort Lisa and Mandy, I know how he especially loved you along with the rest of his earthly family as well as his brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has lost a dear soul.

Mandy words cannot descibe the sadness. My prayers are with you. He always made me laugh, at Uncle Art's funeral I was seated behind the pall bearers in the pew alone. Mike came and sat with me, held my hand and comforted me. I wish I could be there for you. I love you my cousin. If you need anything I'm here.
