Not sure what to say?

I just found about the death of Sister Michael Joanne on Facebook, so many months late. I truly loved this woman of faith with whom I worked at St Thomas Aquinas H.S. 1975-1976. She graciously served as Eucharistic minister at my First Mass in 1982. I shall miss her and offer Mass for the happy repose of her soul. How Good is the Good God!

I am very lucky to have met you and for you to have been a part of my life. I hope you knew what a positive impact you where to us at STA. God bless you and your family.

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Sr. Michael Joanne. Thinking about my senior year at Holy Name high School (1967) still makes me smile.

It is with my deepest sympathy to her family, and as she passes into the hands of God, that I pray for those upon whom she left her mark. I graduated from STA in 1976 and remember those years fondly.

Rest in Peace, Sister, and thank you for all of the wonderful memories at STA...you will be missed and fondly remembered. Sincere condolences to your family.

Corrine (Bucci) Canace Class of 1984

My deepest sympathy to the family of Sr Michael Joanne. As a former student of STA, I remember Sr Michael Joanne's compassion and gentleness. She will be missed.

The Barbara, John and Colin and the Srs. of Notre Dame,

Sr. Michael Joanne was a very special person in my life. She was my mentor, confidante and friend since meeting her at Holy Name High School in 1965 up until her passing - she will be forever in my heart.

"May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold...

I knew Sr. Michael since before she went into the convent. My Dad worked with her Dad at the family vacation home at Nantasket Beach. I also had her as a teacher at Holy Name High School where she championed our many causes like knee sox and class rings when we were in our junior year. Michael had a droll sense of humor but she could also take you out with few words and a look.
The class of 1964 will greatly miss our friend and mentor, Mary Agnes Shea, aka Sr. Michael Joanne.
Susan...

As a member of the Class of 1968 of Holy Name High School, I feel honored to have been one of her students. Her often used phrase "Comes the dawn on Marblehead" still makes me smile.
