Michael Shepler

Michael was a genuine rarity, a true poet, acknowledged as such by the likes of Allen Ginsberg and Louis Simpson, but barely known outside tight-knit poetry circles, largely because he disliked the toad work of po-biz, preferring instead to spend his precious time and energy writing, which he did voluminously. It is the fervent hope of many that his passing will be the catalyst to the discovery of his magnificent body of verse. Should that happen, it will blow the minds of countless readers...

We transitioned from coworkers to friends over a period of years. A genuinely stellar human being. Michael will be missed.
