Not sure what to say?

Coach Sheppard was my JV football coach for the Vailsburg Vikings in the fall of 1965... he was a tough coach but always fair... Ill always remember those frozen tundra November practices at Ivy Hill Park... indeed a legend!

Just learned of Mr. Sheppard's untimely passing today. My deepest condolences to Phyllis and the entire family. Mr. Sheppard inspired me to never loose my hustle in life. I was experiencing much bereavement when I lost my father, Dr. Leo Halpern twenty years ago. They knew each other very well. Hopefully they'll see each other again at a baseball game on heaven. God Bless your soul, Mike Sheppard. Rest in peace.

A true legend of baseball, but most important a Great person who has given his life to teach and help so many.God bless Mrs Sheppard and their family during this loss of such a special Man who gave so much ,May Coach Rest in Peace.

Exquisite Tribute Standing Spray

Although Mr. Sheppard was unknown to myself, If his children were a reflection of their father, then he must have been a man of kindness and morality. The tributes from my Seton Hall Prep Classmates are outstanding. I do know Mike Jr. and John to be wonderful, decent, kind men and my heart goes out to you both and to your family. God Bless You All, Jim De Cheser
