I just learned of the passing of my long-time mentor and friend, Michael Skinner. We were colleagues in transportation and COMTO. He is a gentleman and dedicated friend. Last saw him at B. Hill's retirement luncheon. I loved this kind and gracious man. His legacy is of professional excellence. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Helen Dale.

I had the privilege of working with Mike for a brief time on the State's ICC Project. Most of what I learned about highway construction came from Mike. He was most knowledgeable and helpful. I don't think I have ever met a more sincere person. Rest in Peace.

I have known Mike for more than 60 years and we worked together at MDOT. I knew Mike was not well but it's still a shock to learn of the passing of an old friend. The family has my sincere condolences.
