Then-Sergeant Mike Slebodnik 1991

I will never forget this mans dedication to me and my fellow soldiers safety. I will never forget that most eventful. He is a hero to me for everything he has ever done. I cannot put this in real words, Thank you for everything brother.... Thank you. Punisher Base, OUT!

I met Mike in 1989 or 1990 while learning how to play paintball in south Alabama. He was masterful with the tactics he employed playing that game and I greatly admired his skill. Most memorable for me is the fact that even though I was a shy, quite and awkward kid of 13 he made me feel like one of the guys out there and for that I have never forgotten him despite our brief acquaintance.

Miss you Chief. Thanks for the music lessons.

I am thankful for his service, but I am more thankful for his friendship! He is dearly missed and will never be forgotten.

Always remembering Michael. "Some gave all."

To the family and friends of Chief Warrant Officer Michael Slebodnik:
Please accept my remembrance of Michael on the anniversary of his passing and know that he will never be forgotten.

I served with Mike in Desert Storm and was stationed with him at Ft. Rucker, AL. in B Co 2/229th Avn Regt from 88-92. I just found out about his passing. I remember him hosted my going away party. I also remember on a formation run he was calling cadence and he yelled out: "ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR...I LOVE THE MARINE CORPS". We all thought it was funny but our First Sergeant sure didn't! He was a good man and he will never be forgotten!

To the family and friends of Chief Warrant Officer Michael Slebodnik:
