Not sure what to say?

So many times I´m reminded of Mike´s generous and inviting spirit. He invited me to be a part of his fabulous world and his glorious life and I loved him for it. I´ve never met anyone quite like Mike . To say he was a special person is an understatement. He was a shining star.

I was speechless when I learned of Mike's passing and felt an instant sense of loss. Such a kind and patient provider. I didn't know anything about him personally but the obituary that describes his life is just as I would imagine it. My heartfelt condolences to family, friends, and patients of this wonderful man.

We are so very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was part of the Miracle Team at SINAI Hospital that saved my Husbands life.

Mike was a lovely man. He was caring, smart, with a huge heart. He will be missed by many.

We send prayers, love, and hugs to his Husband and Family.

Sending my condolences to Mike's family. Mike was a truly amazing man. He helped me through different procedures for the past 8 years. He has always been one of the kindest and caring man I've ever known. I will truly miss him. Thanking God for giving him to us! We should all be thankful. Signed a Sinai employee and Mike's patient.

On behalf of the LifeBridge Outpatient Pharmacy team we send out condolences to the family of Mike Smit. Our team had the pleasure of working closely with him for the past several years to help patients and families. He was one of a kind, a positive soul and will be missed by so many. Rest In Peace MIchael Smit.

We will all miss your beautiful smile.

When I think of Mike, a smile instantly appears on my face. We were co-workers on 12 West at UMMS but beyond that acquaintance we were friends. We had traveled Europe together along with another nurse from 12 West. We sang on the streets of Paris, rode the gondolas in Venice, and visited Vatican City. Mike was inches from the pope, it was so exciting. Mikes laughter and loving spirit will forever be etched in my memory and heart. Rest in peace my friend, your old friend. Valerie (Stinnett)...
