Not sure what to say?

Every time I think of people that had a profound effect on my life´s journey, Dr. Mike is one of the first that comes to mind, not just as my physician, but as a friend. He really cared about me and my children at a time we needed all the help we could get. I always considered him a gift from God. I admired him as a physician, friend, husband, father...just a wonderful human being. He will always be remembered by my family.

I first met Doctor Michael Smith in Southern California. We were both in a medical Residency (training) program at the Orange County Medical Center (known today as "The UCI Medical Center". We became friends & continued our friendship after we completed our respective residency programs. He recognized the name, asking if I ever lived in Sanger, and had nice things to say about my mom and dad, even remembering going fishing with my dad when he lived at home. We spent the rest of the...

Maria and family- I only met Mike a couple of times but his caring personality was apparent. My family offers our prayers and thoughts for all of you at this time. I hope to make it to his mass at Holy Trinity where our friendship started. Love- Martha Austin McKinzie and family. God bless you.

Marilyn and I send our blessings to the Smith Family. We first met Mike and Maria in 1992 when Mike started working at the Maili Clinic in Hawaii. He brought a breath of fresh air to the clinic. He was an astute clinician that delivered excellent patient care. It was a pleasure working with him, he elevated the level of knowledge of those working around him, including myself. Beyond being an excellent physician he was enjoyable to talk to with a funny sense of humor, he loved his wife and...
