Not sure what to say?

We always saw him at all the Special Olympics events, the kids loved it.

Dr. Solon was one of the best principals I ever met. He was always interested and fair with all his students. We lost one of the great people of the world when he passed. We will always remember him. Our love and condolences go out to his family.

Pat,

I just heard about the loss of your son, I am so very sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Heather, the children, and entire Barcio-Solon Family.
"My extended family" my deepest sympathy to you all, my heart aches.
Many memories of Mike, Heather and the family.
Like a brother Mike, that wonderful smile, the love that just glowed, the compassion for other's- and especially his family.
Left too soon, but know he will always be at your side(s). Love you all.

I am so sorry Solon family. I work for Chick-Fil-A and usually saw Mike several times a year. Sometimes he snuck down to the store or if I delivered breakfast to the Library when he had a teachers conference, he always has that glowing smile. I for 1 will truly miss him.

It was a wonderful experience to work with Mike when he came to teach sixth grade at Pickering Valley School. He was so well organized and expected good conduct and thoughtful work from his students. He had a great sense of fun too, especially when he dressed as Bugs Bunny for Halloween. Shared family joys were an important part of our relationship. He was absolutely over the moon when Seamus was born on "leap year day."
He may have left us too soon, but his influence lives in the many...

My deepest condolences to the Solon family and his friends, colleagues and students. I fondly remember the tall, energetic, sometimes bearded 28-year-old version of Mr. Solon as my fifth grade teacher at Pickering Valley. With a perpetual enthusiasm and a constant supply of Barq's root beer at his desk, Mr. Solon stands out to me now, as he did then, for truly caring and connecting with me as his student. When we talked I felt that he was treating me as an adult, like he was bringing me up...

Our hearts break for the entire Solon and Barcio families, the Bradford Heights community and all those who were lucky to have had Mike in their life. You have been in our thoughts and prayers since we heard the tragic news of Mike's passing. Mike touched the lives and hearts of everyone he met, and will continue to do so through the memories of all those who have had the honor, pleasure and privilege of knowing him. I loved learning of the "Bulldog Band" and wasn't surprised to hear he...

I was privileged to call Mike "friend" when we were students at Unionville High School. As I close my eyes I remember his dark eyes, (one with an exotic iris!); his perfectly coiffed, dark brown, layered hair; times spent watching him and his band of brothers, Kurt and Rob as they practiced in the bands basement, his drumming prowess, so many things. But mostly, his unbelievably kind heart and his 1,000 watt smile. He was one in a million and his warmth, humor and inner beauty will never be...

We are sorry for your loss and sadness at this time. We will always remember what a great principal Mr. Solon was to my brother and me. Sincerely, Noah and Ian Montgomery , Class of 2010 and 2013, Bradford Heights
