Mike and Tony were my brother Tom's and my best friends in the 60's. Their dad took Tom and myself to our first Cub game. He bought us hot dogs, cokes, hats and even a Cubs pendant. I will never forget that day for the rest of my life. All the Springers are Good Folk. God bless them all. As Mike would often say TTFN back then. ( Ta Ta for now ) Mike was way ahead of the other kids. I can't help thinking of the song that went "We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun..." ...

We always enjoyed the 4th of July parties that Mike would have as an open house near Princeton Il. We always had a great time with all fantastic display of Fireworks just outside the little town of Tiscawa.
Mike you always had a smile and a warm welcome for everyone. You will be greatly missed but always remembered.

Mike was someone who was fun to be with because he had so many interests. I knew Mike starting when he went to college. I always had a good time when we were together!

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I wanted to share that Mike took me on my first ever ride on the "L" when I was only a little kid. He even asked someone to move out of the front seat so my brother and I could see where we were going. I will never forget that moment! I will also never forget his smile. Thanks for the memories Mike.
