Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary

STUART, MICHAEL- Of Flint, age 79, died September 20, 2025, at his residence. 


Funeral service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Dr Max Hayden officiating.


Visitation will be at 11am Thursday till the time of the service at the funeral home. 


Michael was born in Flint, Michigan on October 12, 1945, the son of the late Robert and Eleanor (Roe) Stuart. 


Michael married Madeline Fetterman on November 13, 1965, she preceded in July of 2005. 


He loved the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. He worked at Buick Plant 36 and retired in 2000. 


Surviving are his children Maria (Brian) Stuart, Mellanee Mayville and Mike (Rebecca) Stuart; grandson Shaun Gaiser; brother James Stuart; sisters Karen (Terry) Scott, Kathy Burleson; many nieces and nephews. 


He was preceded in death by daughter Michelle Gaiser, son in law Steve Mayville, lifelong friend Gary Abbott and his beloved dog Joe.

Never had the pleasure to meet Mr. Stuart, but know Mikey and Becca. We send our prayers and thoughts to your family. He must have been a wonderful man raising such an amazing son, Mikey and sweet Becca. Love you guys, pray that God will see you through this hard time.

Mike we are so very sorry to hear of the loss of your dad, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

We called him stuey he was a good friend at jans & tim 'paul's he got me hot sauce he well dearly be miss .
