Michael Bruce Swain of Holly and Flint, age 64 died Thursday September 8, 2016 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3: 00 pm Thursday September 15, 2016 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Ron Osborn, officiating. Family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm Thursday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Mike's memory to the Alzheimer Foundation. Michael was born in Flint Michigan on July 5, 1952 the son of the late: Ernest & Monnie (Pittenger) Swain and had spent most of his life in the Holly area and the last several years in Flint. Mike true passion was his golf and in earlier years in the Bloperball League's with cousins and friends. Michael was also a true sports enthusiast and was the second in the family on Detroit Tiger sports next to his late mother Monnie. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving siblings Karen Newbury, Kathy & Tom Berry, Pat & Kelly Swain, and Ellen & Bob Berry. He also leaves numerous extended family and friends. This saddens my heart deeply. We will all Miss Mike very much. Mike and his family were so good to me after my dad died I'll never forget it the rest of my life even though we didn't really know each other well being first cousins he and his family always treated me like they've known me for .
