Professor Swope's eclectic, yet ordered, motivating, and quite motivated sequence(s) of instruction were refreshing to this L-E and military vet who tried a return to academe at the tender age of 63. Had him for two of my classes at Schoolcraft. Wouldn't have gotten into the Honor's Program without him. Truly a beautiful man, he will be sorely missed. RIP Professor Swope.

Mike's service to Jackson Republicans was significant! Whether he was Mentoring, Coaching, or Teaching through challenge, he did it with Integrity in a respectful manner. I am sad to read of Michael's passing. He was always a part of the Republican activities that I participated in. He was always the person we asked for those tricky political or Robert's Rule questionsl He was way too young to leave us. He will be missed. I am sorry for your loss.
