Not sure what to say?

Michael was a very dear friend and the best neighbor you could ever have. He was creative man. And generous to all. What a wonderful being to be around. I will always miss you. I wish you were still here with all of us.

I am incredibly saddened to just learn of Michael's death......now, almost 5 years later. Michael and I were best friends and life partners in the 1980's. We met in graduate classes at SMU......the moment that I saw him, he took away my breath.....although we have been separated for many years and lost contact with each other, I have always known that he is my soulmate. I just spent Palm Sunday, 3/25/18, at the Cathedral of Hope with his friend, Richard Du Pont. While in Dallas, I met...

To the Sykes Family,

I was saddened to hear today of Mike's passing. I was fortunate to work with him at Heights State Bank in Houston and on to NBC Bank. He was a forever friend and to this day, I can hear his laughter. He lit up the room with his humor. He spoke of his family often and I know he loved you all very much. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Dear Pat and Jim and all of your families.
I just learned of Mike's passing. I was so sorry to hear. I know he was very dear to you. And Grandmother loved him very much. I always enjoyed visiting with him when we came to visit Grandmother. She loved getting us together. May God bless and comfort your family at this time. I know he is with all those who have passed on before him and they are having a joyous reunion.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Michael, you touched my life. I will miss you. Rest well my friend.

To My Dearest Michael,
I just learned of your passing, this morning at Easter service. I am deeply saddened that I can no longer look over the aisle at church and see your incredible smile. Just seeing you smile, made me happier and I will hold and cherish last Sunday's smile forever. You are one of the kindest gentleman that I have ever known. I wish you peace, love on your new journey. The Macey Family offers it's condolensces to the Sykes Family and The Cathedral of Hope...

Thanksgiving and Christmas meals together were always a favorite-as were the meals in Bishop Arts w/a walk thru the art gallery and a visit to all the shops. Michael had a superb sense of humor, was extremely witty and a belly laugh that was contagious! The world was a much brighter place while he was here-you are missed my friend.

Michael I was so sad to hear of your passing You were my Brother for 34 years My loss of you was beyond my control I never stopped thinking of You or loving You. You were a kind and loving person I know i will see you again someday
