Not sure what to say?

With a buoyant smile and even better mustache, Mr. Ski was an important part of the Woodberry community for years. His always-positive attitude kept the sun shining. Those who knew him are better because of him.

Mr Ski was my first math teacher at Woodberry (3rd form geometry) - he always put up my overconfident assertions (like that I was going to disprove the 4 color theorem) whenever someone mentions Cornell to this day I hear him singing an off-color version of High Above Cayuga's Waters (I never asked him what he had against Cornell). Thanks for everything Mr 'Ski WFS '95

Mr. Ski was a wonderful teacher/coach and a favorite of mine from my time at Woodberry. He was infinitely patient and wouldn't stop until everyone "got it." I will miss him and his Ski-isms. I hope he's "cooking with gas" in Heaven.

Mike was a great man and very loved by the boys at WFS. Yes always smiling and happy. What a great dresser as well always looking sharp. He was very kind to me at Woodberry and very patient with at tax time of the year. My condolences to you Kim Beaton and Kane, he will be missed!

Everything that has been written about Mr. Ski is so very true. Amazing man, teacher and just a great person to be around. As math was not one of my more strong subjects, he was able to help me have a better understanding of the subject on a level that I greatly appreciated. Condolences to your family. WFS `02

I´m so sorry to hear this. Kim, my prayers are with you and your family.

A tree is being planted in memory of Mr Mike's time on the Social Services Advisory Board in Williamsburg

Mr. Ski you were the entire package. Woodberry was beyond fortunate to have you there. I can´t add much to what everyone has already said but you were the perfect teacher, coach and all around cheerful and positive man. A true joy, always smiling, kind, funny, and happy. What a beautiful mix. You impacted 1000´s of Woodberry boy´s lives and made them better people just from being you. Heartfelt thanks for all you did for our special community. Sincere condolences to your beautiful family....

Mr. Ski made me feel at ease in his class and gave me confidence when I needed it the most as a math student. He had a way of connecting with every person in his class. I appreciate the extra time he invested in me. Condolences to his family.
