Michael Tackett Obituary
Michael W. Tackett, 38, born in Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Mike attended St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Ind., and practiced law in the St. Louis area. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Mike enjoyed spending time with his children, fishing and camping.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Velma Tackett and James and Phyllis Watson; and his father-in-law, Robert Leonard.
Surviving are his wife, Jackie Leonard-Tackett of Germantown, Wis.; children, Ethan and Lauren Tackett; parents, Darrell and Cindy Tackett of Fort Wayne, Ind.; brother, Mark Tackett of Fort Wayne, Ind.; grandfather, Charles Tackett of Marion, Ind.; and mother-in-law, Joy Leonard of Germantown, Wis.

Visitation: Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne, Ind., and 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at St. Therese Catholic Church.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at St. Therese Catholic Church.

Jackie, I will always remember what a wonderful couple you and Mike made together. You both helped make my experience at SJC a lot of fun and less intimidating as a freshman in Justin Hall. I am praying for you and your kids. I am so sorry. Mike was truly a joy to be around.

I attended St Joseph's College with Mike. I was a freshman when he was a senior. He was a wonderful guy and was very helpful to first time college students like me. I am very sad to hear of his passing and will be praying for his wife, children and all the people who loved and cared about him. God bless you all.
