Michael G. Tanascu

Michael Guy Tanascu, 81, of Hernando, Florida was born November 22, 1939 in Chicago to Michael D. and Anne (nee Ryan) Tanascu Schlaiss and passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021.  Visitation is 4-8 PM Thursday at the Kristan Funeral Home 219 West Maple Ave. (2 blocks west of Rt. 45 on Rt. 176) Mundelein. Funeral service is 11 AM Friday at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Vernon Cemetery, Half Day.    Michael was a veteran of the Marines and worked for the Chicago Transit Authority for over 30 years until his retirement.  He is survived by his children, Jerry (Paula) Saul, Garry (Rebecca) Saul. Grandchildren Jessica, Justin, Carter, and Adam Saul, Michael A., Taylor, and Curtis Tanascu and great grandchildren Braxton and Ensley.  Michael Guy was preceded in death by his wife Karen S.
