Michael Terry Obituary
Michael Terry, age 68, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017. Mike was a 1967 graduate of Central High School, served in the Air Force, and was a retired Columbus Police officer. Most people knew him as an entrepreneur who had many ventures starting in real estate as well as owning many businesses. He was a world traveler and will be missed by both his family and many friends. He was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church. Mike was preceded in death by his mother Jean Terry and his brothers David and Tom Terry. He is survived by his son, Jarod Callander; and granddaughters, Elizabeth and Julianna; brothers, Jay (Sue) Terry and James (Cindy) Terry; sister, Monecca (David) Chadwell; fiancé, Sandy Sayre; many nephews, nieces, cousins and dear cat, Hazel. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2017 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, in Hilliard. Family will also receive friends at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the CHAPEL MAUSOLEUM AT SUNSET CEMETERY, 6959 West Broad Street in Galloway, where his Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randy Nelson officiating. I worked with Mike at the Columbus Police Department. He was a good officer and loved life. My fondest recent memory of Mike was his excitement working with the kids at Faith Baptist Church during the Vacation Bible School. Loved all of "in the old days" stories he could tell about being a police officer. He never met a stranger. So sorry for the family's loss. Will miss you Terry. Many blessings.

My condolences to the family of Mike Terry.
I knew Mike when he worked 88 wagon and I worked 48 wagon. We were always passing each other in the jail during prisoner transports.
He was a great guy and a great officer. Did handle things by the book...most of the time.
I have fond memories of Mike. He will live in our memories.
