Bradley's Funeral Home & Crematory - Marion Obituary

GRAYSON COUNTY, VA

Michael was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago, and his battle ended on September 13th, 2021. He fought cancer with the heart of a lion.

Michael Wiles Testerman was born on June 7th, 1983 and grew up in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in the town of Woodstock, Va. He is survived by his parents Jack and Barbara Testerman of Flat Ridge Va, twin brother Matthew Testerman of Roanoke Va, sister Ashley and husband Ron Ragland of Fishersville Va, brother Nathan Testerman of Altus Ok and brother Jason Testerman of Wytheville Va. He is also survived by nieces Mckenzie, Olivia and nephew Grayson as well as 4 uncles and 5 aunts.

To know Michael was to know a man that was soft spoken, compassionate, brave, and put the needs of others before his own. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. But he was first and foremost a good man who was loved by all. He had a smile that would light the darkest room and a laugh that was contagious.

Michael enjoyed landscape architecture, gaming, hikes, atv rides, football, and spending time with his family. When he died, all things soft beautiful and bright would be buried with him and we wept that one so young should have a life so brief.

In keeping with Michael's wishes, all services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in honor of Michael Wiles Testerman to Smyth County Community Hospital Cancer Center, 245 Medical Park Drive, Marion Va, 24354. The family would like to thank the kind staff at the SCCH cancer center and Davita Royal Oaks Dialysis of Marion Va. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is serving the Testerman Family.

Not sure what to say?

I love you and miss your spirit. I know I left when you were young but I am so grateful that I could tell you I love you in your last months. You were a great man that anyone would want to aspire to. I will see you again someday.

Sincerest condolences to the entire family. Prayers for peace and comfort.

May the wonderful memories you hold in your heart help you through the difficult days. Love and Prayers to the entire family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Michael was a very special person that affected many lives .
Love,
Chris and Sheri Wilburn & Family

Michael was a gallant Warrior for a long time then suddenly one morning he was delivered into Peace. Our hearts are broken for you Barb, Jack, and Family. Michaels legacy will remain and bring us Peace and Joy as we walk in his footprints on the long mountain trail between the beautiful stone wall he built by himself from the stones his Irish Great Grandfather had gathered on the farm many years ago. We Love You forever Michael, Barb, Jack, and Family

So, so sorry to hear of Michael's early departure of this life, and my heart breaks for the family. I trust he is resting in the arms of God - in this we find comfort and hope. I, unfortunately, did not get to meet Michael, but Matthew was a dear colleague several years ago. Matt, my sincere and heartfelt prayers for you and your family.

Sending thoughts and prayers for the family.

I am so terribly sorry for the loss of Michael. My heart goes out to the entire family and to all of those who knew and loved Michael. I pray that God will grant you strength, peace, and comfort in the difficult days, weeks, months, and years ahead. God Bless!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. I did not know Michael but worked with Matt. I will pray for the family. Matt - if there is anything I can do please let me know. Patricia Evans
