Michael F. Theissen

Michael F. Theissen, 66 of Union, N.J., passed away peacefully at his home on Jan. 22, 2014.
The visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Growney Funeral Home, www.growneyfuneralhome.com, 1070 North Broad St., Hillside, N.J. The funeral service will be on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Michael was born in Newark, N.J., and was a lifelong resident of Union.
He was a medical investigator for the County of Union for 22 years, retiring in 2009.
He was a member of the Union Elks Lodge No. 1583 in Union, N.J., and had served his country in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Theissen was the beloved husband of Cindy R. (nee Busch) Theissen; devoted father of Heather Solares and Henry, Jillian L. Honeymar and Robert and Michael C. Theissen. He is also survived by his dear grandchildren, Alexander, Addison and Henry Michael.
