Not sure what to say?

Mike was a great leader and a wonderful friend. He is still dearly missed.

I can´t believe Mike has been gone a year. I continue to miss his beautiful smile and great sense of humor. I recently read a book entitled "90 Minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper. It gave me peace and hope regarding life after death. I highly recommend it. I strongly believe Mike is happily basking in God´s grace and glory waiting for us to join him one day.

Dian, you and Mike were such a pleasure to work with. I am so sorry for your loss and send loving thoughts and prayers.

Dian, Am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He always had time to listen and give good advice and solutions. Wishing you and Lonnie all the best.

Bill Heern, Friend

Words cannot express my heartbreak over the loss of Mike. Mike was the epitome of a "Chief" and such a great leader and mentor for the enlisted throughout the Air Force finance network.. He was such an inspiration to so many, and particularly to me. I remember the great times we had going to the Denver Opera and laughing and telling stories into the wee hours of the morning. His friendship and yours meant so much to John and me. and we speak about y'all often. You are in our thoughts...

He was a great boss and very fair with all.

RIP Chief. We met in 1986 in Europe, and we ran into each other many times when I came to work in Bldg 444. Mike was one of those guys that, just like himself, always seemed to have the situation under control. A hell of a professional.

Dian and Lonnie, you do not endure your loss alone. The "Chief" was a tremendous influence on me and so many other Air Force enlisted and officer members. He always had a smile on his face and words of encouragement. Dependable, caring, and exemplary best describe my mentor. We will all miss him, the United States Air Force and all who knew him are better because of patriots like Chief Mike Thompson.

Marcia and I were sad to hear about Mike's passing. Mike was a Chiefs Chief, a great leader and mentor. Our condolences and prayers go for you & Mike. We enjoyed the many occasions with you & Mike over the last 40 years. It only seems like yesterday that you both were here on our patio for lunch before your last Caribbean cruise. We will always have many memories of him.
