Not sure what to say?

It' s been 3 days since I attended the beautiful Memorial Service for Michael in New Bern NC. I reflect on the events of the day and feel the highs and the lows of what life is really about. My heartfelt sorrow is with all of his family and friends in AL and in NC as I know the pain will not soon depart.

It was an honor to meet him at J.H. Rose High School. Little did I know that while at East Carolina University I would be a brother in Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity...

I guess the essence of faith is understanding that it is alright not to understand. I don't understand at all.

Michael was my little brother.
I love him with all my heart.
I don't know when the tears will stop.
I will miss him terribly.

My friend has gone on the next great adventure. Lost opportunities echo a sad reminder: Make time for what's important. Friends and love endure. The time to enjoy them is fleeting. All too soon, the time is gone. I miss my friend.

His spirit is around me. It is in the young, adventurous men walking through the airports with their easy-going smiles and laid-back attitudes. It is in the trees and the air and the water. It is in the flickering candle flames. It is in the birds...

With our heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

It has been a privilege and an honor to have Mike as a friend. Though our trails have rarely crossed recently, it was always a welcome and uplifting event when our paths did cross. A true ambassador of joy has been removed from our midst.

Michael will be greatly missed by our family. We did not get a lot of time to spend together but those family times were fun. We love you Michael.

Janet, Vince & Family.

Mike was a wonderful person, full of laughter. He never complained or had a bad thing to say about anyone, although he was a bit mischievious at times. I will truly miss him. And it was truely an honor to have know him. He will never be forgotten.

I am so very sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Leon and I missed you both and want you to know if there is anything you need to please let us know.

Mike will be dearly, dearly missed. We will always carry fond memories of him and the wonderful and fun loving person he was. He will forever be remembered. My prayers are with the family.
