I got know Mike when we were both students pursuing our teacher Business Ed certification at UW-Whitewater. Both of us were "non-traditional" students, in that we were a few years older than most other college-aged students. After graduating, we kept in touch and even went bass/northern pike fishing a few times. I remember that Mike and I had a lot of fun casting topwater lures for "big hits" from the bass. Hearing the sad news of Mike's passing, I feel badly that I lost contact with Mike...

I will always cherish Mikes sincere smile, words of encouragement, interest in whatever I was doing, willingness to talk at any time and respect for all. I appreciate everything he did for everyone. I will miss him very much.

I will miss Mike's friendly and calm disposition. Whenever I would drive my grandchildren to TRCCS and they would see him standing out front of the school, they would start singing "come mister Tally man come tally my bananas." I told Mike about this and he laughed out loud.
My heart goes out to all of the family of Mike. Knowing what a kind soul he was must bring you great joy.
