Oh, what a loss. I used to work with Judge Toomin and I admired him to be one of the finest example of a judge. No nonsense, but off the bench, Mike was a very funny guy. One of the judge's fun stories ( parents didn't they think them fun) was when he dressed up as a gangster (spats and all) and with a fake Tommy Gun went into New Trier to have his fun. Mike was a fixture with our group at Northwestern in the early 60´s. He organized donations for blood for my dying Dad without me knowing. A true mensch and one of the good ones. RIP Mike.
