I just learned of the passing of Michael Towbes and want to add my sympathies to his family - and to the Santa Barbara community he improved in so many ways. I had the privilege and pleasure of working with Michael during my time at the Community Environmental Council and, later, at the South Coast Housing Partnership. Always a consummate gentleman, his intellect was unmatched as was his commitment to provide affordable, decent housing to workers and families who make the South Coast livable....
