Michael Wayne Turpin

I had the good fortune to know Mike for 86+ years, growing up together at Holiday Park, Uintah School and East High together. In the 50´s we were warehouseman each summer unloading hot boxcars of firebrick and asbestos insulation, while sharing our appreciation of good jazz and pretty young ladies at East HS. In the last scores of years we were part of a group of 6+ guys who loyally met every Friday for lunch at the Alta Club and a toast to those whose old stories were told and retold while...

I knew Mike all my life. Our dads were business partners and we had neighboring cabins. My favorite memory is Mike singing and playing his guitar at the bonfires. Some good old western classics, which meant several were raunchy! Rest in peace, Mike

I am so sorry to hear of Mike´s passing. He was a friendly fixture at the cabin. My best memory of Mike was his singing the Madiera song at my wedding reception and his singing Me and Bobble McGhee at bonfires at the cabin. We will miss you Mike
