Not sure what to say?

To the Varone Family - I did see that "Mike the Barber" shop had closed but I thought it might be because of the pandemic. I was very sad to hear about Mike's passing. I had been going to him for haircuts pretty consistently for the past 10-12 years. He was a wonderful guy that took me back to my childhood of an old style barbershop. We was very good to my kids putting on TV shows and giving them lollipops. We talked about everything going on in the world and our families. And his...

To Mike’s Family.... I send my deepest sympathy. I started going to Mike’s Barber Shop in 1969. He was such a gentle man with a quick hello and a smile. Over the years we talked about family, our cars (his Caddy and Mercedes), his luck at the casino and the crazy shows he had on his tv.

I would like to share with his family a photo of my son Chad getting his first haircut around 1976. He was not two. Mike my friend, you will be sadly missed.

I would bring my brother, all the time for his hair cut, he will miss him very much, my condolences to his family

To the Varone family,
My sympathy and prayers on the passing of Mike. Not only was he a great barber, giving me what he called his "10,000 mile haircut, but also a good friend. The hour and half travel from the shore to have him cut my hair was well worth it. I also know that he had other customers who traveled long distances as well for his services. A tribute as to how well he was liked.
Rest in peace Mike and you will be in my prayers.

We will always remember the beautiful smile on his face and the kindness and friendship he gave to my mom and dad. Mike will be dearly missed by all. God Bless !

Fran, Michael, Mario and John, so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. It's been years, but we often think of the old neighborhood and the wonderful support we gave one another. Our prayers go out to the family. May Jesus comfort your hearts. Love, Tim and Melanie, Bradenton, FL.
