I am so sad to hear about Michael. I just found out today. He was a great guy. I worked with him at the COH, but different departments. Always polite and courteous. Prayers go out to the families.

Michael, you will forever be in my heart, mind and soul. I love you so dearly and you knew that. Because I have been so busy taking care of you, to ensure you had the most honorable and respectful "Home Going" to be with the Lord, I forgot to sign your guest book. I will always admire the love you had for your children and grandchildren. I also know the love you had for me, your stepchildren and step grandchildren. You always made sure to take care of me, support me, whether good or bad. The way you celebrated my birthday on 4/30/15. You drove from Houston to Dallas after work. I didn't know a thing; however, my daughter, my stepson, my twin sister, and brother-n-law all knew and kept it from me. You serenaded me with rose petals from the front door to the end of the driveway. You handed me a single rose as you kissed me on my cheek. I began to cry; because of the joy I felt in my heart. You walked me to the double swing you bought for me and handed me a dozen red roses. I cried, as we hugged, kissed and danced to a song you dedicated to me. Again, you sang another song to me and kneeled to the ground in front of me and wiped the sweat from your head. At the end, another song played as you walked me to your truck. You took me to dinner, we had a lot of fun with family and friends. We went back home to spend quality time together and rest. You got up early the next morning and drove back to Houston, to be on time for work. What a dedicated man you were to your wife, your family and your job. It was such a joyous occasion and I will forever remember that day.
I love you with all my heart Husband, Mary

To all who loved Michael,
We will all miss him dearly, but none more than his two young adult children Joseph and Danielle. They are now without a mother or a father. Taken from us 8 years ago from cancer, Valerie was probably waiting at the river when Mike crossed over. They both know that we are sad, but they are happy in God's arms. No more sorrow, no more pain.
