It is said that "It is a fearful thing to love what death can touch." and, as the Scarecrow says in The Wizard of Oz, "I know I have a heart because I can feel it breaking." Michael's most untimely death does indeed call forth grief. His time among us, however brief, called (and will always call) forth great joy.
