I hope you don’t mind if I call you that even though we never met. Mike talked a lot about you when I served under him as a scout-observer in S-2 (Intelligence), First Battalion, Second Marines, between 1956 and 1958. He loved you even then and had no doubts he was going back home to marry you. He loved you even more than his Merc (I think it was a ’51?). I decided this week to try to look him up, and I am sorry to find I was too late.

Mike was my neighbor for 22 years, I was his children's babysitter, and he was my employer when I was a young teen. There isn't a finer person in this world. He was a very kind and caring man who would give you the shirt off his back. He was also a great father/husband who raised a lovely family. I will miss talking to him about his medical billing questions or anything else he might call me about, I always looked forward to those phone calls. God bless him and hold his family close at this...
