E.S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc. Obituary

Michael passed away peacefully at Highland Hospice, he was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Lee Warren and siblings, Barbara (John) McDaniels, Lee Jr, Betty Barnette and Melody Sue Sisk. Surviving Gale (Robert) Shell Valerie (Frank) Mullally, Richard, and Nancy (Cecil) Keller. Dozens of nieces and nephews.

Mike was known around the neighborhood as a friend to the downtrodden. If he knew someone had fallen on hard times, he reached out to them. He was a man rich with life experiences and enjoyed sharing them with his neighbors as much as they enjoyed listening to them.

Michael loved music and working with his hands. He had a gruff exterior, but was forever taking in strays, dogs, cats and mostly people.

Thoughtful care and services provided by E. S. ELEY & SONS FUNERAL CHAPEL.

Not sure what to say?

Michael was our neighbor and dear friend. My husband and I spent many evenings on his porch talking with him about anything and everything. We will miss you Mike. The good time's we shared will always be remembered with love and laughter. Farewell my friend...until we meet again.❤

Sonny and I were very close when we were young .We had so much fun on the mountain in Scottsboro Alabama . My love for him never ended and my heart breaks for him everyday . I am so glad that He is at peace at HOME WITH THE LORD !

His family and friends called him Sonny :) He had a hard life in the beginning but made quite a few remarkable changes in his life .I loved him deeply and spent many times in the past enjoying his company . H E WAS VERY FUNNY , WE DANCED AND SANG ALOT DURING HIS TIME WITH ME . My husband never had the opportunity to meet but had some very long conversations on the phone. Sonny is was very loved and and we miss him . We are thankful with the knowledge that we will see him again in Heaven :)
