Not sure what to say?

Webb: I had no idea you were gone until I saw a posting on a friends page, and still, I find it hard to believe that a man as vibrant, colorful and strong in character could be gone. You taught me so much more than Math. I had lost my father the summer before I entered your class and I thought I just didn't care anymore. You did something that may not have been/may not be the norm in getting through to kids, but you MADE me believe that you cared and that my dad would want me to live and...

I met then Elder Webb only briefly at the beginning of my mission to Munich in 1980. He was a fun-loving guy and well liked by all. He loved Germany, and everyone in Kaufbeuren, the town where I was serving and where he had previously served, had stories about him. Once he and his comp made a brief visit to KB to see a member friend. An older woman, she made him a Quarkkuchen (a very common occurrence in missionary life) and asked us to pass it on to him. But we were too late. He had already...

I will always be grateful for the time Mick spend with my family in Germany while serving his mission.
Sounds like he continued to teach people all his life.
My condolences to the family.

Mick. I learned so much from you while i was at West High and i will always value our friendship. you were an amazing coach, and an even better man. You have touched my life in so many ways and I am better having known you!

I can't believe it's been over 25 years since I've seen Mick. We had a lot of fun together for a short time. I'm glad to see he had such a great life and touched so many through teaching. He was always a character and I'm glad he never outgrew that kid inside.

Jack & Claire, I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine losing a child. Nick was a wonderful person, as is evident by all these postings.

There are no words to describe the experience of having Mick Webb as your math teacher (however burning tell-a-tubbies comes to mind). He truly was just a kid at heart who one minute would be goofing off and the next be telling the class to get back to work! I am saddened to know that future West High students will not be able to share the experience of being taught or coached by Mick for he was truly one of a kind.

What inspiration you gave to so many students. You will be sorely missed.

Mr. Webb,
You touched a lot of peoples lives. I never had the opportunity to be one of your students but I will always remember your smiling face. My prayers are with your family.
