Not sure what to say?

Mr Weesner was my teacher and volleyball coach back in the 80s. I always remember him with a smile on my face. He was so invested in his students and a joy to be around. So funny and encouraging. I've often thought of him when I think back on the the people who have shaped my life. He was one of the good ones. May his legacy live on through his beautiful family.

Mike Weesner was my teacher for both Oceanography and Photography in 1982-ish. I was a terrible student and at the height of my truancy. I've never forgotten the look of sadness on his face when he saw me outside while I was ditching his Oceanography class. Even still, it was one class that I actually learned something, and he was always kind to me, never belittling. I wish I'd had the sense to reach out and let him know how much he meant to me.

Thank you, Mr. Weesner.

Carol,
My prayers are with you. I had no idea Mike was not well. He was such a likable person, and so well thought of in the community. His sense of humor was one of his best qualities. I know you will miss him every day, as will so many. I hope your faith can keep you strong during this difficult time.

Carol and family,

I was so shocked to hear of Michael's passing. I loved talking to him at the mail box as I delivered the mail and seeing the trains in the back yard. He was a highlight of my day while delivering the mail.
My utmost sympathy to you and your family.

I had Mike Weesner as a teacher in both Oceanography and Photography and I can confirm that he had a big impact on me. He was a brilliant storyteller, and sparked his students' imaginations with those stories. I still retell stories I heard him tell. Also I found him to be a man of integrity. I remember we had a test in oceanography where we went to the tide pools at Asilomar and had to identify animals using a dichotomous key. This was a marine sanctuary and it is forbidden to take anything....

I feel so lucky to have been a student in Mr. Weesner's MHS Oceanography class. He was so caring and gentle in his approach to teaching; I always felt comfortable asking him questions about the sea world.A favorite memory:waving to each other from our passing sailboats in Monterey Bay, together with his cheery smile. Sending love to his family, Margarete

My heart goes out to Carol and family for your loss. He was a great teacher and I loved his photography class. He will be greatly missed.

Mike brought so many gifts to so many people. His incredible spirit will never be foegotten.
