To the family of " Mike Weiler" So sorry to hear of Mike´s passing. Prayers to all of you as you navigate through these difficult times... Lynda ( Bartlett) Sawyer

I just saw this. Coach Weiler ("Wild Man") was the best. His passion, drive and integrity were second to none. Condolences to his family, friends and former students.

Mike and I started our superintendencies in Kent County about the same time and became great friends. He was a tremendous educator and left such a positive mark in all of his travels. He was even a better person and friend. His greatest pride involved his family. Joan, he always told me about your great marriage. You were true soulmates and left such a tremendous legacy in raising your children. He was so proud of your kids and extended family, too. While I'm out of town and can't...

I am so sorry to hear about Mikes passing. Our families grew up together and I have many fond memories of baseball games, playing in the yard and swimming in Sanford lake, and so many more. Sending love and heartfelt condolences to all the family.

Mr. Weiler was my absolute favorite teacher at NHS. He was always prepared, passionate about his subject, and held high expectations for us all. My sincere condolences to Joanie and family. He was a gifted educator and a kind person. Maureen (Sullivan) Hart

My condolences to the Weiler Family. I will not be available to show my respects next week. Mr. Weiler was willing to meet with me to offer feedback, insight and infinite wisdom. He was a titan and one I will miss. I hope to make him proud and lead Sparta Area Schools as he would think is best. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. May perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen Joel Stoner

Mike and I ran on the track team for CMU and we also competed agaiinst each other in high school, athough Mike was a year older than I. We both ran on the mile relay team for CMU. One of the things I remember most about him was his ability endure multiple races during the meets. He always gave every ounce of strength he had in every race. I am sure he approached his life and how he helped others in the same way. Although I have not seen Mike since college I still have fond memories of our...

Mike stepped into the role of superintendent at a critical time for Kent City Schools. Doug and I truly appreciated how wisdom and leadership. We will always remember how he loved to "make a short story long." He will certainly be missed! Our sincere sympathies to his family! Doug and Barb Weston

I remember him when he first came to Newaygo. I had him for both a teacher and a coach. He was probably the best teacher I had in high school. Best wishes to all of his family. He was a great man!!!
