Michael Glenn Wetzel, 62, of New Tripoli, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Rhonda – Lynn A. (Mohr) Wetzel to whom he was married 36 years. Born on February 2, 1962, in Allentown, Mike was the son of Alfred O. Wetzel of Mertztown and the late Janice C. (Gable) Wetzel. A member of Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, Local 167, Allentown, Mike was employed as a general foreman at Alvin H. Butz Inc., Allentown for 28 years before retiring in 2018. He was a former member of the East Coast 4- Wheel Drive Association. 


Survivors: In addition to his wife and father; sons, Brian A. Wetzel of Whitehall, Tyrone D. Wetzel at home; sisters, Annette J. Cardine (Corey) of Davidson, NC, Dawn M. Hoffman (Timothy) of Mertztown; father and mother -in- law, Richard J. Mohr, Sr. and Carol A. (Adams) Mohr of New Tripoli; brother-in-law, Rick J. Mohr (Debra) of Coopersburg, sister-in-law, Robin A. Fritsch (Blaine) of Breinigsville; many nieces and nephews; predeceased by brothers-in-law, Randy S. Mohr and Robby P. Mohr. 


Service: A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309 Schnecksville with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 – 10:20 a.m., Saturday in the funeral home. Private interment. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.


Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 196 Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
