Not sure what to say?

Marie and family. When I heard about Michel's passing I felt very sad and nostalgic. I was sorry I was not a part of his life these past few years. He was one on the kindest and most generous of men. He continued to be a source of encouragement to the staff at PEP, and myself. He never stopped believing in the Mission. What a gift that was. You have been in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Marie,
My condolences on the death of Mike. I knew him for just a short time; he was a great guy and certainly a very accomplished man.
Marie, our family will pray for you and your extended family.
Sincerely,
Mike Hasslinger

I was so saddened to hear of Michael's passing. I worked at Catholic Community Services in the late 80's and early 90's with Michael as our program supervisor. He was a very nice man, helpful and supportive as a supervisor. He was a very caring person and was respected by those of us who had the privilege to work with him. My deepest condolences to Michael's family. He will be missed and remembered.

My dear Marie and Family,

On behalf of all our Sisters, especially those who taught you at HNA, I send you our heartfelt sympathy and prayers. I am deeply moved by the genuine expression of love from so many about Michael. They make me wish I had known him. Michael's life has changed, and so has yours; but I doubt you'll ever be without him. He sounds wonderful, and I'm so happy for your time together. His Faith reached fulfillment, and he'll be near to you always. Lovingly.

Marie although it has been many years since seeing you when I heard about Michael's passing the news prompted an internet search. This is a great opportunity to extend my sympathy to you and your family for your great loss. I remember Mike as a kind and gentle man.
Warm regards, Pam

Dear Marie and Family-As the news spread at PEP to those who worked with Michael, the memories came and were shared. Wanda remembered his daily greetings, Andy remembered that he always brought in flowers. And I remember his faith and confidence in me. His powerful vision and passion for PEP was always evident. He was a good man.

Michael, my favorite Godfather. We miss you so much but are thankful for the good times we shared with you and Marie. Don’t worry; we will take good care of Mama. Michael, you ran the good race and fought the good fight. The world is a better place because we had you in it. Smile down on us because now you can play forever! To you Mama, all of our love and prayers. Andy, Pete, Lyle and Cory.

Dear Marie. I remember with great fondness when we taught together at Marty's. Sue and I send our love along to you.

Michael Whitley was an amazing man who had a very large heart full of compassion, a very sharp mind with which he delighted in grappling with challenges, and a sense of humor grounded in personal humility. I feel blessed that our paths crossed and I was able to learn so much from him while at Catholic Community Services. I still delight from time to time when a memory of Michael creeps into my mind. It always brings a smile to my face.
