Not sure what to say?

Mike and my Dad were cousins, but also the greatest of friends. Our families shared a lot of special times together, especially when we all lived close to each other in the mid-70´s. I´ve always enjoyed my talks with Mike & Sheila at family gatherings. Mike always had time to ask how life was going, genuinely listened with interest, and was always so warm and supportive. He was truly such a special soul, and it´s been amazing to read how warmly he´s regarded by so many people, both in his...

Dr Whitworth was very special. He did surgery on my twin boys and mother-in-law. His kind, caring, compassionate heart as well as skilled medical talents were top notch. I worked with him at hospital as a nurse and he always treated everyone with kindness and respect. Patients and staff loved him. He will always be remembered and I send my deepest sorrow and condolences to his family for their loss.

I just read about the memorial service and I am remembering a wonderful friend who once rescued me in an emergency. Mike got me into the hospital and Sheila took care of my children in the middle of a night long ago, and I have never forgotten their kindness. Mike was not only a kind friend to my family, but as Marie mentioned, an example of integrity.

As a nephew by the same name, I knew I had big shoes to fill, and my uncle was an awesome inspiration for a career in medicine. I will never forget that proud moment when he placed the hood over my head at the graduation ceremony, and the month I spent with my aunt and uncle in school. I still remember complaining about a tough night shift in the ER, looking for a sympathetic ear, and he simply looked at me and said, "you have to suck it up now, you´re a doctor!" He was right, and I...

So sorry to hear of Dr. Whitworth´s passing. He and Dr. Jackson took care of my 4 daughters appendectomies and tonsillectomies and various other surgical issues for our family and we treasured both he and Dr. Jackson. Prayers for the family

Mike Whitworth is the best human being I have ever known. It was such a privilege to be an employee of his for many years. I adored, respected and loved him so much. I thank the Lord every day for his example of integrity. I am going to miss him every day of my life.

I am saddened by Mike's passing. He was one of my closest cousins when we grew up together. He was one of the most humbling men to be around. He was that way as he was growing up and was that way the last time I was able to sit and visit with He and Sheila. I loved this man and will miss the occasional visits that we were able to have.

An outstanding physician who helped so many. A thoughtful, kind friend always. We will miss so much his warm smile and caring personality. Rest In Peace, Michael.

Words are hard to find in this loss of a great surgeon, physician and person. He saved my life by doing my surgery on one early New Year's Day. Dr. Whitworth and Dr. S. Pu (Surgery Resident) and Dr. Gibbons (Anesthesiologist) were my doctors that morning. As a Registered Nurse and patient, I always had the greatest respect for him. We lost a great man and Physician. Rest in Peace Sir.
