Michael E. Williams, 63, of Canton Twp, Michigan passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Trinity Health-Ann Arbor Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan and generously donated his organs to the Gift of Life at his passing. Michael was born February 22, 1962, in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Larry Keith Williams and Thelma Ann (Burnside) Williams. He was also preceded in death by brother Keith Williams.
Michael is survived by daughter Stephanie of Colorado and son Andrew of North Carolina, the love of his life Brenda Cronin of Vickery, sisters Cathy (Gary) Schulz of Galion and Deana (Allen) Williams of Bucyrus, Sarah and Maddy Cronin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Michael grew up in Bucyrus and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1980. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University in 1984 and his master’s degree in computer science from Arizona State University in 1990. For 15 years, he served as a Valley Big Brother in Phoenix, Arizona. He had a rewarding and successful engineering career that allowed him to travel to places around the world. He worked for the last five years as Director of Engineering at OPW Vehicle Wash Solutions in Michigan.
Michael enjoyed Lake Erie and riding his Harley Davidson, and was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Carolina Hurricanes. When you reached out to Mike, he was always available to listen, to solve problems, and to guide with a tender heart and a gentle hand. He didn’t judge, he cared deeply and wanted others to be happy. He loved music and felt it in his soul. He appreciated the small things. To know Mike was to be hugged by Mike.
Mike said often, “If anything ever happens to me, make sure people know I lived the best life.”
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, 215 N. Walnut St., Bucyrus, OH 44820. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Pastor Mike Darling will officiate services and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
A celebration of life will follow the gravesite service at the American Legion in Bucyrus.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Lifeline of Ohio and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com.
