Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

Wilson, Michael James, 40, passed away, Sunday, February 17, 2013.

Beloved father of Kaitlyn Wilson; son of Joan and the late Kenneth Wilson; brother of Diane, Rick (Julie) and Linda (Rob) Wilson; uncle of Sophia, Chloe and Max; dear friend of Angie Lewis; dear cousin, nephew and friend to many.

Michael was born in St Louis, but also lived in Baton Rouge, Beaumont & Katy, TX, Los Angeles & San Francisco, CA, and Herman, MO. These moves inspired him to learn of different cultures and travel the US. He loved experimenting with culinary styles and was an exceptional cook. He was an Industrial Leak Seal Technician at age 25 and was supervising large crews on complex projects. Like his father, he was a gifted basketball player and excelled at all sports. However, his passion was being outdoors, whether it be camping or simply spending time with his dogs. He is blessed with a beautiful and intelligent daughter who embodies all of his finest qualities.

Services: Memorial Mass at Ascension Catholic Church, Chesterfield, Saturday, 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to StrayRescue.org. Memorial visitation at the FAMILY CENTER at Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, FRIDAY FEBRUARY 22ND, 4-8 p.m. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
