Dec. 29, 1955 - Jan. 24, 2015 Michael Louis Winchester was born on December 29, 1955 in Prichard, AL., and died peacefully at home on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Eight Mile, AL. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Creola Winchester; sister, Mary Alice James and brother, Charles Winchester, Jr. He was a 1973 graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School and attended Alabama A&M in Huntsville, AL., where he became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and a member of the Alabama A&M Marching Maroon and White Band where he was head drum major for 3 years. Michael was a member of Mount Hebron Church Ministries. Michael managed Winchester's Tire Service following his father's passing and was most recently employed at Mobile Regional Airport as a Skycap. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of thirty-eight years, Sandra Winchester; three children, Entwarne Cook, Eight Mile, AL., Cory (Brandi) Winchester, Huntsville, AL., and Whitney Winchester, Eight Mile, AL.; six siblings, Andretta Mason, Mobile, AL., Gwendolyn Winchester, Paramount, CA., Joyce Winchester, Mobile, AL., Deborah (James) Howell, Rialto, CA., Paul (Canary) Winchester, Peachtree City, GA., Sherman (Valerie) Winchester, Mobile, AL.; mother-in-law, Millie King; five sisters-in-law, Sylvia McCaskill, Diane (Elmore) Alexander, Josephine (Herbert) Bracy, Gwendolyn (Ronald) Williams, Angela (Charlie) Taylor; one brother-in-law, Gary King; and five grandchildren, Jemarcus, Camren, Benjamin, Cori and Londyn; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Celebration of Life Hour at Mount Hebron Church Ministries. Rev. Joseph Johnson Pastor and Officiating Minister.
