When I think of the ideal "family man", I think of Michael. I am saddened at his passing, and share in the sorrow that is felt right now by all his friends and family. Rest in peace, Michael knowing that you made a difference in many, many people's lives.

Words can not convey my heartfelt condolences for all of Mikes family. He was a great man and will be missed at every softball game. Sending our love and prayers

Mike was such a good friend and role model, and I am blessed to have known and loved him for the past 10 years. I will remember his amazing smoked sausage, playing poker with him, adventures at Cub Scout day camp, his laugh when you really tickled his funny bone, his insistence that you need to try something 15 times before you decide you dont like it, bacon-wrapped green beans, and his passion for helping people. Mike was a gift not only to his family and friends, but also to the children of the Elgin area because of his constant volunteering for youth groups and activities. We are thinking of you and your family and sending love to all.
