Not sure what to say?

I first "found" Dr. Michael Wong when I first moved to Honolulu from San Diego as a young 25 year old in 1978. At the time I was living in Kahala Towers with my younger sister, just across the street from his office outside Kahala Mall. I needed new glasses, and somehow found Dr. Wong. That was the beginning of a 40 year friendship. Over time, my husband and three children saw Dr. Wong for eye exams and glasses, and he became like family to us. Wherever Dr. Wong moved his office, we...

Dr. Wong was always there, starting from my husband as single, then two and grown to four. He is part of our family history, such a caring companionate doctor. We will miss chatting with him at eye check up.

I just found out about Dr. Wong´s passing and I am very sorry for your loss. I am sending hugs, love and prayers to his loved ones. I was a patient of Dr. Wong for many years and he was a very excellent optometrist and person. Thank you so much Doctor Wong. I enjoyed all of the talks we had and will miss you.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I am sending my deepest condolences to the Family of Dr. Wong. I was a patient of Dr. Wong.

Dan and I are so sorry for your loss.

Sincere condolences to Dr Wong´s family and friends. Dr. Wong was a wonderful optometrist and an even greater person and friend. I always looked forward to my annual eye examinations because it was an opportunity to talk story and catch up with each other´s lives. Dr. Wong spoke so proudly of his family and with great affection for his many high school friends from Iolani. Dr. Wong was a good listener. He will be missed and remembered fondly.

Our belated condolences to the Wong ohana. We are sadden & heart-broken. Dr.Wong was not just our eye doctor, but our friend. He took time to chat about every day life, importantly never rushed an appointment with him. He truly took the time to know his patients in order to help them. This small action is a rarity, but Dr. Wong had no problem handing this out. He will greatly be missed. In Hawaii we never say goodbye. Until we meet again. Aloha Ahui Hou.
