Not sure what to say?

Our Families were so close and what seemed like inseparable for a few years all thanks to Ramona Pony Baseball and our serving on the Board of Directors together. Our boys being on the same team and you as a wonderful Coach, Friend and Confidant. Gosh, all those late night meetings, all that Volunteer stuff year after year, all the dinners together, Pool Parties, Parking Cars for the Rodeo and Fair, and I could go on.
We loved you,Mike, Betsy and of course the Boys You all will always...

It is hard to find the right words right now.... Michael and I dated in high school; he was thoughtful, kind, fun-loving, and a terrific dancer! In college, he encouraged a friend of his, Ed Newton, to ask me out. "You two would be perfect together!" Two years later (1969), Mike was in our wedding--and we remain grateful to him for his matchmaking wisdom. Life took us in different directions, and then a few years ago at a reunion, we spent time together and Mike proudly showed me...

Mike, you were a college friend of my older brother Mike. The summer after I graduated from Crawford, you let me help you coach the Sunset Merchants Pony league team. That experience convinced me that I wanted to teach and coach for a living. Although I never coached baseball again, I just last year retired from coaching high school football for 37 years. You taught me much, and I owe you big time.
God bless your family........Dave Ponsford

Sorry to hear about Michael. I have not seen him since we graduated from high school, but I still have very fond memories of him from Horace Mann and Crawford. I do remember he used to play baseball in the Pony league and sometimes I would watch him play up at the old field that was near Chollas Lake and what was considered the land-fill at that time. In the 7th and 8th grade I danced with him many times at after school dances and do remember that he was about the only boy at school who...

Mike - basking in what he loved with all his heart.

Mike, you will be missed by so many people in this community. The legacy of the PONY team's growth over the years is a grand testimony to the hard-working, selfless man you have blessed us all with. I enjoyed our talk and thank you for sharing such a large part of yourself with so many people. To Mike's family - I haven't the words to express how incredibly blessed I felt by the stories he shared with me. My deepest condolences to each and every one of you. - Dixie Pettit - Ramona Sentinel

Mike always called me "Bucket head", I will miss that and him very much. I worked with Mike for several years together and even when we didn't we still stayed in touch. Mike taught me a lot about the building industry. My condolences to his family

Mike was one of the good guys. We'll miss you old friend, but will keep the old memories.
Save us some room in those greener pastures; of course, after you cut the grass... Love ya bud.

Michael was such a good friend in Jr. High and High School and although we lost touch over the years, I've never forgotten what a kind and sweet person he was. I was just so sorry to see he had passed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
