Not sure what to say?

Spider.. my brother, Jay Edwards, told me you passed away.
I remember you so well.
During the 60s I used to be the one who would listen to the 45s over and over and over to get the words to the songs for you and the band(s).
I remember how smart you werehow interesting.
My favorite as a teenager? Your way so cool socks, pointed shoes and pegged pants.
Oh and your double headed guitar!
Rest In Peace

Mike,
A good friend, a comedian and a wonderful teacher! I learned many things about music from Mike! His wisdom showed me to appreciate simplicity and the greatest joys in life. I will always appreciate his wise comments and insights when I was a young musician.
I wish he would have washed his car more...Lol!
Love and miss you Mike.
Wayne

RIP Spider. You were in a class of your own.

Had much fun with Spider when I worked at Music Mart in Ann Arbor. I was learning how to set up and work on guitars downstairs while he worked the floor upstairs. He was sharp, knew the biz. He asked me to sit in with his band at a club out on M-36 near Zukey Lake when I started playing pedal steel. Was a blast, Mike playing drums with Dennis Ruby & the Persuaders. I still have the cassette tape of that night. Peace my friend.

'Spider' rather than Michael is how I remember him. He lived with my family and me for years. We slept in the same attic room. It could get really cold, and I once woke up freezing to find Spider sleeping ON the hot air register with the sheets billowing up!
My brother Brit called this morning to tell me. As he said, "Spider took me under his wing." Spider took us all 'under his wing.'
I was a 'Spider.' That was the name of our band. He played the bass and managed the...

Spider played at my sisters St. Thomas graduation party 1964 at our house with the Erlewines.
I remember him from music mart on Main Street and even when there was one on W. Huron. He was always helpful and took other musicians seriously; and was ready to solve equipment issues whatever they were He was a great guy with a great sense of humor. I think of him fondly. My thoughts to family and friends.

Thinking of you and praying the love of family and friends surrounds you and that your memories sustain you through the difficult times of missing him. Sorry for your loss. God's peace. Debbie (Morris) Colesa

Spider will be missed. He used to be the beatnik of our school. Very quiet but one heck of a music buff. Used to go see he and Jim play a lot when they hit the circuit. Sorry
