Michael Allen Yanik

Michael yanik saved my life back in 87 !! I was a burn patient of his !! May God be with him always!!!

To the Yanik family- I know this is being written long after the passing of Dr. Yanik. I just happened to see the notice.I lived in Toledo for a time over 30 years ago. I am an OR nurse and worked with Dr. Yanik when he did his Plastic Surgery residency with Dr. Kelleher and group. Dr. Yanik was very willing to teach others. I always remember him as a very kind man and a skilled physician. As I read his obituary it became clear that he was a very dedicated physician to burn victims and...

Mike was a wonderful friend, a devoted family man and a dedicated physician. His passing is a great loss for all who knew him and all who benefited from his remarkable skill as a surgeon. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Yanik family at this difficult time.

Dear Rosemary, Ginny and I were so saddened to hear about Mike's death. I was honored to have known and worked with Mike and always said that if I had an accident I would want Mike Yanik there. He was a fine man, an excellent physician,a skilled surgeon, a wonderful husband and father and a valued friend and colleague. I know I'm late posting..didn't know Dr.Yanik had passed away...he was my surgeon in '98. Sorry for your loss...He was a great man.

Dr. Yanik was a joy to know. He cared for my husband Chris for a number of years following his cancer and paraplegia. He was a great teacher for me - helping me learn how to care for Chris at home. So sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Yanik and Family,
It was an honor to work for Dr. Yanik in the St. Vincent Burn Unit. He held all of us to the highest standards, and led us by his example. I will miss him.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I'll always think of Dr. Yanik with a smile. I worked with him when he was a resident and what a wonderful change he made when he took over the unit. All that worked with him respected him. Nurses were an equal member of the team to him which made us respect him and care about him even more. He will be missed. He was one in a million.
