To the Zappone's...

Have known the Zappone's for all my life, as well as my folks. We pass on on thoughts and well wishes to all of the Zappone family from the Saccone's. Here was a really great guy who always seemed to have a smile to his face! Remember like it was yesterday on him taking myself and Mike, Jr to a Baron's game (early 60's), front row down at the Cleveland Arena, I think my toes are still frost bit! Had a fair number of times to a free meal in one of the...

To the Zappone Family,

Please accept our condolences from the YOLANDA KOSTER family. My mother, Yolanda, was one of the first employees at The 13 Colonies under Mike. She greatly admired him and considered him a wonderful employer and friend. He did wonderful things for the restauant business.

Sincerly,
Yolanda Koster, daughter Lynn Adams and son Bob Koster

Mike was a great man. I miss all the Zappones. Fred

Mrs. Zappone,
You may not remember me from Central Bank, Pam Roberts, but I am very sorry to hear about your husband. I did not know about him being ill. May God be with you and your family.

To The Entire Zappone Family:

You've lost a great person and my prayers are with you all. Mike was always gracious and warm and I know that everyone will miss him.

Mike, MaryKaye, Maureen and Anthony,

So very sorry to hear of your loss. We're thinking of you often.

Love,
Dan, Chris, Drew, Kyle and Courtney Ross

I'll always remember what a kind man Mr. Z was. I used to take my children to the restaurant on W. 117th a lot, and sometimes he would be there greeting the customers and laughing. When he was there, he would stop by our booth and kid the children and make them laugh. He had invested so much into the Cleveland community over the years with the restaurants, and never gave up on the City. God bless him, and my condolences to the family. Sincerely,

We send our deepest sympathies and regrets we will not be in town for you all.
We considered it an honor to have shared so many moments with "Papa" and all of you.Our lives were very entwined for a long time.
"Papa" will always be a bench mark for hospitality in the dining industry.
Love to all of you

Every little memory is a seed of hope. You will find peace and comfort in the warm memories you shared with Mike. Our most sincere condolences.
